Wendy's 12I Valedictory Speech ...

It feels just like yesterday that all 25 of us, young, different and wary of what would come - what the next 4 years of our lives would be - met each other for the very first time as Mac.Robbians.

I remember in year 9, us singing Indonesian songs together and laughing at Mr Short’s stories. Year 10 was the first time we weren’t together for every class, and it was strange to be apart from the people you’d come to call a family. And of course in year 11, we were truly apart except for the 10 minutes of form every day. Now, in 2016 as 12I, we’ve had an incredible year, with a never ending list of highlights… especially that killer dragon/lion enviro dress.

We were 25 young, different and wary kids in 2013. And now, what are we made of? We have many leaders, athletes, actors, aspiring artists, air force members, doctors, accountants, lawyers. How did we get here? Four years of love, spirit and....Faith.

I’ve had four of the best years of my life. Thank you for being a part of it. Thank you to Mr Short for being our form teacher for four years, we hope you’ve enjoyed the annual birthday cake. To our past form captains, Sherene, Maneesha, Priscilla, and all the form reps, we’re all so thankful for the time and effort you’ve spent on us. Thank you to our teachers who have taught us over the years, we’ve learnt a lot from you. Thank you Mr Sawaki, Mr Page and Mr Maaser for being our co-ordinators and just showing an infinite amount of patience with us.

I just want to finish off with a quote from Romeo and Juliet.

‘Good Night, Good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say goodnight till it be morrow.’

So goodnight until tomorrow 12I, I love you all and wish you all the best in the future. We’ll always be Ibu’s Kids.
