The fifth day of our trip to America was probably the most exhausting to date.
After 2 fire alarm evacuations (false alarm) throughout the night, the crew woke at 3am, with an average of about 3hrs of sleep.
But our exhaustion didn't change anything, the show went on, and we went straight to the California Institute of Technology , or Caltec
On the way, we were lucky enough to pass by Albert Einstein's house!
We sat in one of the classrooms, and our friendly guide explained to us what it is like to go to such a high-achieving science-orientated school.
For lunch, the Caltec canteen offered a range of delicious foods, from sushi, salad, chips, curry, burgers, and more!
Then it was off to Wilsoms Observatory to visit the solar and night-time telescopes which remained the largest for 2 generation of astronomers.
This is a view inside the 100 feet telescope.
